Based on the current climate status and the development of first half of 2018, this report forecasts:

• An above normal activity for whole year cyclone formation
• A normal activity for landfall China
• A normal activity for cyclones impacting eastern China
• A below average activities activity for cyclones impacting south China.
• 26 – 28 Tropical Storms are forecast to form over the Western North Pacific Ocean and South China Sea
• 13 – 15 Tropical Cyclones are expected to significantly impact China
